Celebrity Equinox 2024 Dry Dock

Prior to founding Third Floor Systems, I handled this project end to end: design, project management, installation, and commissioning. The core of the scope was replacing the ship's legacy BSS processing with Q-SYS, alongside installing about two dozen Danley Extreme Weatherized speakers across the Lido deck to replace the outdoor sound system.

The timeline was tight — under contract in late February 2024, deployed to Cadiz, Spain by mid-April. The ship was in dry dock for a month, and I stayed aboard for a second month afterward, sailing with it to finish commissioning the new systems properly rather than rushing the handoff. Total scope came in at roughly $500,000.

This one's a good showcase of the full lifecycle — not just installing gear, but designing the system, managing the schedule, and staying through commissioning to make sure it actually worked as intended once the ship was back in service.
