Carnival Spirit 2025 Dry Dock
Prior to founding Third Floor Systems, I managed this project as it moved from signed contract to installation in about two months — fast even by dry dock standards. The scope covered a full DSP and control system upgrade across nearly every venue on the ship, roughly $300,000 in all, and had to be completed inside a single month-long dry dock window.
We finished with four or five days to spare, which turned out to matter: while still on board in France, the customer asked me to quote additional work to support a new line array they'd already purchased. I priced it, we were awarded the work on the spot, and within days I was sourcing steel in Marseille and welding a custom support bracket to the ship to mount it — all before the dry dock window closed.
This project is a good example of what tight-timeline project management looks like in practice: compressed procurement, international logistics, and the flexibility to take on new scope mid-install without losing the schedule.
Project photos coming soon.
